Methi Lagan

Ingredients

  • 6 bunches Methi herbs ( stalks and roots to be removed )
  • 1 onion
  • 2-3 teaspoons pakco curried chilli pickle paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger and Garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoon mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chopped Dhania leaves
  • 1/2 cup chick pea flour ( gram flour)
  • 3/4 cup semolina
  • 1 cup self - raising flour
  • 1 1/2 salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3/4 cup cooking oil
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

  1. Wash Methi herbs well. Pour boiling water over and leave few minutes then drain and wash under cold water. Drain out excess water . mix all ingredients together excluding tinted sesame seeds . preheat oven at 180 C . Pour batter in a greased oblong baking pan. Sprinkle tinted sesame seed . Bake for 30 minutes . remove from heat
