Eskom chairperson and CEO Jabu Mabuza has promised that load shedding will not hit the country this summer, despite the challenges the season holds for the power provider.
The power utility has not implementing load shedding for the past 164 days despite its winter plan making provision for a maximum of 26 days of stage one of planned outages.
At a media briefing in Johannesburg today, Mabuza admitted, however, that the power system will remain tight in the coming months due to increased plant maintenance
