The National Institute for Communicable Diseases says 87 confirmed cases of listeriosis have occurred in the country since the end of last year’s deadly outbreak.
But the NICD stresses that there is no cause for alarm.
The 2017/2018 outbreak led to the deaths of more than 200 people.
The institute is investigating 61 of the 87 cases after 21 people died in the latest cases in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
